Week 4; Sport of the Week
Join us on Week 4 for Summer Camp as we bring in the 4th of July festivities by playing Yard Games such as Bean Bag Toss, Twister, Croquet, Lawn Bowling, Bocce Ball & Badminton.
Enjoy Friday, July 4 with your child as the YMCA Summer Camp will be closed for the day.

Calling all Parents/Guardians, you are invited to join us today for our weekly Friday Assembly with all the Campers and all the camp staff from 3p-4p.
Todays Assembly is "themed" counselor/camper competitions. This will include races, mummy makers, and other extremely fun activities.

As a reminder, today is the last day to register for Week 4 of camp without occurring a $10 additional fee applied to weekly camp rates. Visit the front desk to register and don't forget to take a look at our upcoming onsite speciality camps, onsite field trips, and offsite field trips.

Join us on Fridays at 3:00 p.m. as we come together to celebrate our week of fun and adventure! Campers will have an opportunity to show off what they’ve learned to their families, staff and other campers. You won’t want to miss it!
Come watch your child have a Dance Off during our Assembly today. Each Camp will highlight a boy and girl camper of the week.

Camper Bead Program
All Campers will receive an opportunity to receive a bead throughout the course of Camp. All the Team Leaders and Leaders will assist the campers with understating the true meaning of Character Development, Leadership & Volunteerism, Sports & Play, Education & Literacy, Arts & Humanities, and Offsite Exploration.
Below is a template that will be posted in each classroom to review each morning and throughout the day.

Sports & Play Weekly Themes
At the Heinrich YMCA Summer Camp we will be incorporating weekly Sports & Play themes throughout the course of our 11 Week Camp. Each week, your child will be able to be introduced to sports in a manner which is educational as well as active. Campers will learn the basics of the sport and throughout the week progress in the sport and be able to participate in a scrimmage on Fridays.

Camp Begins Monday, June 9
Although Camp begins June 9, we have had some amazing workshops for the Summer Camp Staff. The training workshops started Friday evening at the Heinrich YMCA and then we went to the Durango YMCA on Saturday for additional trainings and workshops.
We will be hosting our onsite specific training this week to get the staff all geared up for WEEK 1 of Summer Camp. We have a lot of experience, knowledgeable and high energy staff that are looking to make a positive impact on your child(ren) this Summer! So come on down this week and get registered.
